The bomber, named "Witchcraft" by its first crew, was built at Ford's Willow Run bomber plant in Ypsilanti, Michigan, one of 8,600 B-24's mass-produced there during the war. Witchcraft's ground crew also trained at the Wil|About the Author|Perry Watts (1929-2013) was the official historian of the local wartime US 8th Army Air Force base, Rackheath, Norfolk, England 1944-45, served in Malaya 1947-49, and was an RAF cadet pilot and an executive.

This book captures the story of "Witchcraft," a B-24 Liberator, based in Rackheath, England, toward the end of World War II, that had a unique record in the 8th Army Air Force of flying 130 credited missions without aborting.This is a sequel to author Perry Watts' 2006 book (also published by Schiffer) on the 467th Heavy Bombardment Group, which sets this Liberator in context.
